West Horndon Village Hall, built around 1962 following a generous land donation to the residents, stands as a testament to community spirit. Fundraising efforts led to the construction of the large hall and kitchen, with an upstairs addition made later. Operated entirely by volunteers, the hall relies solely on user fees for maintenance and receives no external funding, highlighting the commitment of the West Horndon community to preserve this vital resource.
The hall is home to 10 regular clubs that use the hall each week and provide a wide range of activities for the local community.
